Secrets of a Muslim Heart - A Journey into Spiritual Awakening, by Tazmin Mahomed, was launched in South Africa in July 2009, at the Cape Town Book Fair. This was followed by a successful launch in Durban, KwaZulu Natal.
The book received praise and recognition from a number of sources, including a variety of media. The book is a revealing insight into the
writer’s experience of being a Muslim woman living in a western society, and
addresses the issues and challenges facing Muslim women today. However, as a book on Muslim spirituality, Secrets of a Muslim Heart has universal appeal. "It speaks to everyone seeking change or inspiration to find a deeper meaning to their lives," Mahomed said.
